Stefan Rauch is an IIoT Solutions Architect at grow platform GmbH. While not taking part in hackathons, he is a solution architect in a cross-functional business model exploration team within the Bosch’s incubator platform. This team explores new business potentials by applying cutting-edge IoT technology to the industrial domain. Stefan has a degree in Computer Science from the University of Applied Science Würzburg.

Talk Title: How to Use InfluxDB to Win Europe’s Biggest IoT Hackathon

Presentation description: Industrial machines are … expensive, need high maintenance, and sometimes are underused. We are a team of 6 students/engineers/consultants that have never met before and were able to tackle the challenge of ensuring that data was captured for Industrial machines to ensure they were performing optimally and fully utilized. We did this by completing a project on this topic at the biggest IoT Hackathon in Europe, the Bosch Connected Experience (BCX) 2019 in Berlin.

In this short presentation, you will get some insights on what happened in the 42 hours of hacking at the BCX, and what role InfluxDB played, to finally win the competition among 120 teams and 750 participants.
