InfluxData Founder and CTO Paul Dix will discuss the journey of the InfluxDB platform, and provide an update on the future of the time series solution.
Paul Dix – Founder and CTO, InfluxData
Paul Dix is the creator of InfluxDB. He has helped build software for startups, large companies and organizations like Microsoft, Google, McAfee, Thomson Reuters, and Air Force Space Command. He is the series editor for Addison Wesley’s Data & Analytics book and video series. In 2010 Paul wrote the book Service-Oriented Design with Ruby and Rails for Addison Wesley’s. In 2009 he started the NYC Machine Learning Meetup, which now has over 7,000 members. Paul holds a degree in computer science from Columbia University.

Evan is a passionate entrepreneur and technology leader with nearly 25 years of experience in the CEO role. Brian Mullen is Chief Marketing Officer at InfluxData. Samantha Wang is currently a Product Manager at InfluxData, creator of InfluxDB, the leading time series platform. Samantha is currently responsible for Telegraf, InfluxData’s open source data collection agent. Previous to InfluxData, she worked in product and engineering roles at Gracenote (a Nielsen Company) and Verizon. Samantha holds a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California.

Nathaniel Cook – Engineering Manager, Flux, InfluxData
Nathaniel is the leader of the Kapacitor Project at InfluxData. Nathaniel started his career as an operations engineer, trying to make data do the hard work of monitoring and managing large-scale SaaS products. Along the way he learned some data science and machine learning and put them to use detecting anomalies in time series data. Nathaniel holds an MS degree from University of Illinois.

Scott’s formal education is in graphic design, but he is a self-taught writer and coder and applies skills and principles learned in both worlds to many different disciplines including programming and software development.

As Field CTO, Dean is responsible for ensuring the successful communication and deployment of InfluxData’s solutions throughout the world. Based in the UK, Dean is also leading the expansion of InfluxData’s business throughout Europe. He has more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry covering consulting, product development, product management, and solution deployment throughout the retail, financial and telecom industries — with significant expertise in distributed systems, transactional systems and data center automation. Dean has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, and an MBA from Cambridge University.

Phil Bracikowski is the Cloud storage team tech lead. He thrives on bringing the right information to the right people. Phil joined Influx in June 2020. Before Influx, he worked on SaaS information security at Raytheon and before that physical security with IoT devices at Alarm.com. His background is in experimental physics with degrees from Dartmouth College. He resides in Eastern Washington State.
