Scott Anderson

Scott Anderson is a Technical Writer for InfluxData who thrives on distilling complex information into simple, easy-to-understand concepts. He oversees the documentation of the Flux language and loves the challenge of showing how Flux can work for your use case. Scott’s formal education is in graphic design, but he is a self-taught coder and applies skills and principles learned in both worlds to many different disciplines including programming and software development, information design, marketing, and even package design.

Brett Buddin

Brett Buddin is a software engineer who specializes in distributed systems. As part of the Compute Team, he focuses on improving the Query and Task infrastructure in the Cloud 2 Platform. Brett spends his free time field recording, making music with modular synthesizers, and building music-related software.

Gavin Cabbage

Gavin is an experienced engineer with a focus on distributed systems built with technologies like Go and Kubernetes. He has spent the last two years developing InfluxData’s Cloud 2 platform with a recent focus on queries and tasks. Outside of tech, he enjoys cooking, gardening and spending time with his poodle Mausbär.

Ana-Maria Calin

Ana-Maria Calin

Ana is a Senior Software Engineer at InfluxData. As a Software Engineer, Ana deploys and maintains all of the application components that make up InfluxDB Cloud as well as working on the CI/CD pipeline, responding to incidents and making sure all of the different regions supported by InfluxDB are operating as expected. Previously, Ana has worked as a Systems Engineer at Paybase, where she built the infrastructure of the company’s service-oriented platform, created, updated and maintained monitoring and logging systems and incident response management systems.

Stuart Carnie

Stuart has been an engineer at InfluxData for about 4 ½ years. He has worked on OSS 1.x, 2.x, Enterprise and Cloud 2.0. Most recently Stuart has been improving InfluxQL support for Cloud 2.0. When not at work, Stuart enjoys retro gaming (he released the first Commodore 64 emulator for iOS in 2007), gardening, watching his daughter play soccer and movies.

Jay Clifford

Jay Clifford is a Developer Advocate for InfluxData. Before joining InfluxData, he previously specialized in solving industrial pain points using Vision AI and OT connectivity. Jay now uses his experience within the IoT and automation sector to enable developers and industrial customers alike to realize the potential of time series data and analytics. Outside of tech, he enjoys: wakeboarding, swimming and gaming.

Anais Dotis-Georgiou

Anais Dotis-Georgiou

Anais Dotis-Georgiou is a developer advocate at InfluxData with a passion for making data beautiful using data analytics, AI, and machine learning. She takes the data that she collects and does a mix of research, exploration, and engineering to translate the data into something of function, value, and beauty. When she’s not behind a screen, you can find her outside drawing or playing soccer.

Brian Gilmore is Director of IoT Product Management at InfluxData, the creators of InfluxDB. Gene Hynson

Gene Hynson is a Senior Full Stack Engineer currently based in San Diego who has been working on the Notebooks feature of InfluxDB Cloud. In his spare time, Gene loves to hike, camp, and take his Jeep on off-road adventures.

Jacob Marble

Balaji Palani is the Director of Product Management focused on InfluxDB Cloud. He is passionate about building powerful cloud products that help developers achieve the fastest time to awesome. Previous to InfluxData, Balaji has held several Product Management and Engineering positions at companies like BMC, HP, and Mercury. Balaji holds an MS degree in Computer Science from West Virginia University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Annamalai University.

Alan Pope

Alan previously worked on Ubuntu and in a past life taught SAP training course. In his spare time, he presents a long-running podcast with friends. He enjoys conversations about the intersection of technology and humanity. Alan loves cats.

Zoe Steinkamp

Zoe Steinkamp is a Developer Advocate for InfluxData. She is new to the developer advocate role. She has worked for InfluxData as a front end software engineer for over two years. Before InfluxData, she worked as a front end engineer for over 5 years in the original AngularJS. She originally went to a bootcamp for training in Python. Her favorite activities outside of work include traveling and gardening.

Samantha Wang

Samantha Wang is currently a Product Manager at InfluxData. She is currently responsible for the open source products at InfluxData including InfluxDB OSS 2.0 and Telegraf. Previous to InfluxData, she worked in product and engineering roles at Gracenote (a Nielsen Company) and Verizon. Samantha holds a degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California (Fight on!).
